Description
South African monkfish is a benthic fish and lives in sandy and muddy bottoms and rarely in rocky ones at a depth of 20 to 1000 meters. It has tender and tasty meat.The tails are great for searing then roasting, and takes on flavour well. Monkfish tails are a great source of protein, low in fat and contain vitamins B6 and B12. Ideal also for frying with potatoes and steaming with vegetables.
